You’ve Got a Lot on Your Mind—Let’s Talk About It

You Don’t Have to Carry This Alone

Maybe you’ve been feeling stressed, anxious, or down, and you’re not sure why. Or maybe you do know, but you need a safe place to talk about it. School pressure, complicated social situations, stress at home, figuring out who you are—it can all feel like too much sometimes.

You might be doing your best to keep it together, but on the inside, you’re feeling overwhelmed.

You’re not broken or dramatic. You’re human, and sometimes life is just really hard to navigate.

Mental health counselling is a space that’s just for you. We can talk about what’s on your mind and how to help you through whatever is going on. Here, you don’t have to pretend or explain everything perfectly. You can just show up as you are.

There’s Nothing Wrong With Needing Support

A lot of teens feel like they’re supposed to just tough things out or figure it out on their own. But the truth is, no one has it all together all the time. There are moments in everyone’s life — young or old — when extra support can make all the difference.

Young people come to therapy for all kinds of reasons, including:

Feeling anxious, overwhelmed, sad, numb, or caught in constant overthinking

Pressure to succeed, fear of failing, or worrying about the future

Family stress, grief, big changes at home, or needing someone to talk to who isn’t a parent or teacher

Exploring identity (e.g., gender, sexuality, culture, ADHD, neurodivergence) or feeling unsure where you belong

Friendship or relationship challenges, feeling left out, judged, or bullied

Past experiences or trauma that still affect your life now

Coping with difficult feelings through substances, self-harm, or other habits you want to change

Struggles with body image, eating habits, or self-worth

Mental health counselling is a relaxed space where you can be yourself, find support, and explore what you want in life — without judgment. I’m not here to “fix” you. I’m here to understand your world, help you discover tools that work for you, and support you as you grow into who you want to be.

Growing up is about becoming who you are, not who everyone else expects you to be.

Hi, I’m Claire!

I’ve worked with teens for most of my life, first as a workplace mentor, teacher, and now as a counsellor. I know what it’s like when you feel like no one truly understands you, or when you’ve been holding something in for so long it’s hard to even begin.

This is your space, not mine. I’m not here to judge you or tell you what to do. I’m here to listen, help you make sense of what you’re feeling, and support you in finding your own way forward.

Whether you’re dealing with big emotions, complicated thoughts, or just feeling off lately, mental health counselling is a place where there’s no pressure to be a certain way. You don’t need to explain everything perfectly or pretend to be okay. We’ll go at your pace, and talk about what matters to you.

We can talk about anything; this is your space.

You can bring anything into the room. Really. I’m not here to judge you or push you to think a certain way. I’m here to listen, understand, and help you figure things out.

Some things teens open up about with me:

  • Feeling on edge all the time, overthinking, or having panic moments that come out of nowhere

  • Feeling low, empty, or like you’ve lost your motivation

  • Using alcohol, vaping, self-harm, or other habits to numb or escape — even if you’re not sure why

  • Feeling burnt out from school or like you’re never measuring up

  • Feeling uncomfortable in your body or stuck in a cycle of negative thoughts about how you look

  • Questioning your gender or identity, or feeling like you don’t really fit anywhere

  • Navigating drama with friends, dating, breakups, or trust issues

  • Memories or experiences that still pop up and hurt, even when you wish they wouldn’t

  • Big emotions that are hard to explain or control

You don’t have to know where to start. Just start with what’s really going on for you.

You Deserve to Feel Heard and Supported

It’s okay to feel nervous or unsure about starting mental health counselling. You might worry about what to say, how to explain yourself, or whether it’ll even help.

That’s why we start with a free chat. No pressure. Just a relaxed chance to meet and see if I’m someone you’d feel okay talking to. If it doesn’t feel right, that’s okay too. What matters most is that you feel safe and supported.

There’s no pressure or judgment, just support that’s here when you’re ready.
